The 2012 B2G Elite Camp will kick off on June 29 and the roster of attendees makes it a must-see event for any recruiting fan.
Held at Cal Lutheran University, the camp features three days of training, meetings and film study for 85 top athletes. Camp attendees are also given a glimpse into the academic requirements at the next level.
B2G has produced plenty of big time defensive backs over the years, and that pedigree combined with how loaded the 2013 West region recruiting class is with safeties and cornerbacks makes it no surprise that the roster is stacked at those two positions.
Defensive backs scheduled to attend include USC commit Chris Hawkins (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Rancho Cucamonga), Priest Willis (Tempe, Ariz./Marcos De Niza), Tahaan Goodman (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif./Rancho Cucamonga), Johnny Johnson (Fresno, Calif./Central), Patrick Enewally (Cerritos, Calif./Gahr), Devin Holiday (San Marcos, Calif./Mission Hills) and Jermaine Kelly (Los Angeles/Salesian).
Battles between the defensive backs and receivers should be fun to watch as the secondary talent will be tested by Ohio State tight end commit Marcus Baugh (Riverside, Calif./J.W. North) and wide receivers Laquon Treadwell (Crete, Ill./Crete-Monee), Tyree Robinson (San Diego/Lincoln), John Ross (Long Beach, Calif./Jordan) and A.J. Richardson (Harbor City, Calif./Narbonne).
The talent doesn't stop there though, as headliners such as Stanford linebacker commit Isaac Savaiinaea (Honolulu/Punahou), defensive end Joe Mathis (Upland, Calif./Upland), offensive tackle Nico Falah (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco) and offensive tackle Christian Morris (Memphis/East) are scheduled to attend.
There are several all star events scheduled this summer and next week's B2G Elite camp deserves plenty of attention among them, as dozens of FBS recruits will be on display for three days in Los Angeles.
