Ty Isaac: 'No major damage'

USC running back commit Ty Isaac (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic Academy), who injured his right shoulder in the season opener Friday night, said he expects to return to the field in a "couple weeks."

The nation's seventh-ranked running back scored on his first touch, a 43-yard run, and had accumulated 67 yards on only seven carries at the time of his injury in the first half.

Isaac left the stadium for further evaluation, and Joliet Catholic Academy eventually fell to New Lenox (Ill.) Providence Academy, 40-34.

"No breaks, no major damage. Couple of weeks," Isaac said in a text message Saturday.

When asked if he thinks his senior season is in jeopardy, Isaac responded, "Not at all."
