USC is on the board with their first 2013 commit, and it's a big one.
Kenny Bigelow (6-foot-3, 280 pounds) was set to become one of 2013's most highly recruited defensive linemen but pulled the trigger early after taking an unofficial visit to USC this past weekend. Bigelow is a high school teammate of USC quarterback commit David Sills, so he certainly has heard enough about the program.
It's a tremendous pickup for the Trojans at this stage, as it gives the 2013 class a building block and continues Lane Kiffin's push for more and bigger bodies along the defensive line. Bigelow was one of the standouts of the entire Nike camp tour this past spring, and he held early offers from schools such as Oklahoma, Auburn and Connecticut.
The present focus might be on finishing out the 2012 class, but it's never too early to start working on future classes.
