Quinn Ewers
Freshman
2021 team: Ohio State

Ewers' background: Ewers was the No. 1 ranked prospect in the 2022 class, but reclassified to the 2021 class to enroll in August at Ohio State. He was active in name, image and likeness deals before he even got to Ohio State, reportedly earning near $1 million in contracts. Ewers saw a limited role in his first season with the Buckeyes with C.J. Stroud as the starter and Kyle McCord as the backup.

Where he could land: Ewers should still technically be in high school preparing for signing day had he not reclassified. Nearly every program in the country was after him and nearly every program would still take him. He was committed to Texas before flipping to Ohio State, and since he's from the state of Texas, the Longhorns would make a lot of sense. Ole Miss will be looking for a quarterback to replace Matt Corral and Lane Kiffin has had a lot of success with quarterbacks, so the Rebels would also make sense. Texas Tech is another in-state school that would be a good fit, as would Clemson, which saw quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei struggle and backup Taisun Phommachanh enter the transfer portal.
