How Kesler's return helps Canucks

Ryan Kesler, finally healthy again after undergoing offseason wrist and shoulder surgery, will return to the Vancouver Canucks lineup tonight.

But how good will Kesler be after going almost a year between NHL games? It won't be surprising if Kesler needs time to find his feet, or to get his timing back in the faceoff circle. But what he brings off the ice is just as important to the streaking Canucks, according to NHL Network analyst Billy Jaffe.

"He brings the intangibles of veteran presence -- he's been to the Stanley Cup finals a few weeks back -- and he brings swagger," Jaffe said Friday. "There's going to be a real good attitude from everyone in that [Vancouver] locker room with everybody saying 'We got one of our big boys back, and we've already been playing well without him. How much better can we get.'"
