Key injuries, suspensions to start 2013-14

Just seven months after breaking his leg in last season's Elite Eight, Kevin Ware made his highly anticipated return Wednesday night for Louisville. But while Ware was able to get back on the court, there are several others who have been ruled out for the start of the season. We take a look at the most critical losses in the preseason, followed by a full list of the absences due to suspensions and injuries that power conference teams will be dealing with to begin the season.

1. Seth Allen, Maryland Terrapins

The Terps’ sophomore had begun to make the conversion from shooting guard to the point and was the starter. Now he’ll miss about two months, and that means Mark Turgeon will give Dez Wells -- who is not a point -- the first crack.

2. Chane Behanan, Louisville Cardinals

The Cardinals' big man has been suspended indefinitely, and it looked for a little while as if his career was over. Now Rick Pitino has made it seem as though Behanan will be back at some point, but no one knows how long it’ll be.
