Nebraska transfer Andrew White III came away "impressed" after his weekend visit to Syracuse, according to a report from Mike Waters of Syracuse.com.
The Orange are currently only carrying nine scholarship players on their roster and are looking to add more able bodies in the transfer market and hope that White could help the roster plug a hole on the perimeter. The team is looking to add players adept on offense especially, after losing each of its three leading scorers from the team that made a surprising Final Four run.
"Had a really good visit with my parents at Syracuse," White told Syracuse.com. "The coaches seem to have a pretty good playing situation, along with a chance to win big." Since asking for his release on June 25, White has had many suitors, according to Scout.com's Evan Daniels:
Andrew White (@AndrewWhite03) has visited Syracuse. Miami, Pitt, L'ville, MSU, USC, UCONN & Texas are all pushing for a visit. VCU in mix.— Evan Daniels (@EvanDaniels) July 7, 2016
White gave Syracuse.com no indication about other visits planned, despite the reported interest from other schools, including Louisville.
