Monday roundup: Johan to O's?

After a relatively quiet offseason, the Baltimore Orioles seem to have stepped up the pace with the onset of spring training, agreeing to a four-year, $50 million deal with right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez and agreeing to a one-year, $8 million deal with outfielder/DH Nelson Cruz. Baltimore also agreed to a three-year, $5.75 million contract with South Korean pitcher Suk-min Yoon.

Now comes word that the Orioles are nearing a minor league deal with two-time Cy Young Award winner Johan Santana, tweets Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com. Santana, who is attempting to come back from surgery last April to repair a torn capsule in his left shoulder, reportedly topped out at 81 mph in a workout last week.
