Melo willing to take less to help Knicks

Carmelo Anthony will opt out of his contract in June so he can become part of the 2014 class of free agents in July. There has been a lot of speculation about where he wants to play next season and Friday he may have ended all the talk. Anthony said he prefers to re-sign with the New York Knicks and he's willing to accept less than a max deal if it helps bring other talented players to the team, reports ESPNNewYork.com.
