Jarnell Stokes' deal with the Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies have acquired the rights to forward Jarnell Stokes, the No. 35 selection in the 2014 NBA draft, from the Utah Jazz. On Monday, the Grizzlies signed Stokes to a multi-year deal.

According to Chris Vernon of ESPN 92.9 FM, Stokes' contract is for three years; he'll earn $725,000 in 2014-15, $845,059 in 2015-16 and $980,431 in 2016-17.

Stokes impressed the Grizzlies in early July during the 2014 Orlando Pro Summer League as he averaged 12.2 points and 9.4 rebounds in 26.6 minutes per game. He will enter training camp in a competition with Jon Leuer for the main backup power forward position behind starter Zach Randolph.
