NBA Rumor Central: Nets to fill 15th spot with Archie Goodwin

The Brooklyn Nets currently have an open roster spot, and according to Shams Charania of The Vertical, the team is planning to sign guard Archie Goodwin to a 10-day contract.

Rumor CentralGoodwin has been playing in the D-League with the Greensboro Swarm and is averaging 17.03 points, 2.32 assists and 5.24 rebounds in 34 appearances. Goodwin is shooting 43.8 percent from the floor and just 23.5 percent from behind the 3-point line.

Goodwin, the No. 29 selection in the 2013 NBA draft, played with the Phoenix Suns during his first three years in the NBA. The Suns released Goodwin on Oct. 24 ahead of the start of the 2016-17 season. He later signed with the New Orleans Pelicans on Nov. 7 but didn't last long with the team, as he was waived on Nov. 20.
