It's of little surprise that Orlando decided to waive Al Harrington today, cutting ties with the 33-year-old veteran whose 2013-14 and 2014-15 contracts were only partially guaranteed. The Magic will have to pay Harrington half of the roughly $14.74 million he's owed over the next two seasons.
As for Harrington, his future could ultimately depend on the health after suffering through a painful stretch that included surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee and a scary staph infection that limited him to only 10 games last season with the Magic.
