C.J. McCollum to stampede with Idaho

According to Chris Haynes of CSNNW.com, Blazers head coach Terry Stotts said C.J. McCollum will play two games with Idaho as a backup shooting guard, which will be his role with Portland.

McCollum is expected to make his NBA debut on Tuesday against Sacramento if he has no setbacks during the two games with the Stampede.

C.J. McCollum (fractured left foot) is getting close to finally being able to play for the Portland Trail Blazers as they assigned him to their D-League team, the Idaho Stampede, on Wednesday. Playing with the Stampede will allow him to work on his game conditioning and if there are no setbacks he could make his NBA debut soon.
