Is Orlando better moving forward?

Rarely do teams shape their future as much in one day as the Orlando Magic did on Thursday, swapping leading-scorer Arron Afflalo for Evan Fournier then acquiring defensive-minded athletes Aaron Gordon and Elfrid Payton via the draft lottery.

There's a wide range of reaction to Orlando's big day, and an argument could be made that the team would have been better off holding on to Afflalo, drafting Dante Exum at No. 5 and using its next pick on a forward who can space the floor like Doug McDermott.

Can the Magic work with the approach they took, and are they better moving forward?
