Franks' white-hot seat

If the goal for the Detroit Pistons franchise this season was to develop the fundamentals of their young roster while losing as many games as possible in order to position themselves for yet another high draft pick, the campaign has been a total success. On the other hand, it's nearly impossible for a coach to win just 25 of 66 games in his first season and follow that up with the same number of wins (25) in the first 77 games of his second season without knowing that his job may be in jeopardy. Coach Lawrence Frank certainly understands, according to the Detroit Free Press's Vince Ellis.
