Lee out, Landry promoted

David Lee is out for the rest of the playoffs after he suffered a complete tear of his right hip flexor. Lee will need at least three months to recover and he's bitterly disappointed with the injury.

"It's a tough day," Lee told the San Francisco Chronicle. "I've waited eight years for this, and to have it come to such an abrupt end with something that is out of my control is frustrating. It's easy to sit here and kind of worry about yourself, but I've been a leader all year, and I'm going to continue to be one. Guys need to see me be positive right now."

The Nuggets already head the edge over the Warriors not having Lee available is a huge loss. Head coach Mark Jackson will now promote Carl Landry from backup to the starting power forward spot. Landry's reserve position will go to rookie Draymond Green and recently signed Dwayne Jones.
