NYC 2014 SF could be fast riser

ESPN 100 power forward Kentan Facey was not considered a high-major prospect at this time last year. Neither were Kamall Richards, Curtis Martin, Dayshon Smith, Hallice Cooke, Kahlil Dukes or a host of other players from the Northeast who went on to earn high-major scholarship offers.

As we look forward to next month’s upcoming evaluation period, perhaps the biggest question is: Who will be this year’s biggest stock risers.

This past Saturday, I made the trip to the Bronx, where I watched AAU Team Scan practice literally in the shadow of Yankee Stadium in preparation for its first season in Nike’s EYBL. Scan’s roster is loaded with talent, beginning with the likes of future Syracuse forward Chris McCullough.

However, the guy who stood out the most on Saturday was a player who currently holds only mid-major offers but, in my opinion, is inevitably going to end up pushing his recruitment to that next level.
