The All Ohio Nike Cup always seems to bring out most of the top talent from the entire state. The talent was a little top heavy this year and in the end the two tournament heavyweights made it to the final.
(Garfield Heights, Ohio/Garfield Heights)
2013, SF/PF, 6-6, 225 pounds
He is a big, strong combo-forward who gets a lot done when he is plugged in. He scores, rebounds well inside and is especially effective from the mid post where he can turn and face to shoot or drive into the lane. Overall, he is a real force and a tough matchup due to his strength and skill.
Mark Williams (Richmond Heights, Ohio/Benedictine)
2013, PF, 6-7 230 pounds
Williams is a multi-dimensional, skilled power forward who is at his best inside 10 feet and on the blocks. He can spin off his defender, post up, use an up-and-under move, shoot a jump hook or turn and face to score. Williams is also a solid rebounder, and while he may not be the best athlete in the world, he has more than enough athleticism to get it done.
Nathan Adrian (Morgantown, W.Va./Morgantown)
2013, PF, 6-8 210 pounds
College: West Virginia
He is a high-post or stretch power forward who is a good shooter with range to 20 feet. Adrian is a solid athlete but will need to get much stronger before he gets to West Virginia 18 months from now. He is also a very good catch-and-shoot player who can impact a game when he gets it going. He will be even better once he puts on a little weight and muscle.
