Three-star PF commits to Stanford

Three-star senior power forward Schuyler Rimmer (Orlando/Boone) committed to Stanford on Thursday over offers from Vanderbilt, Virginia and USC.

Rimmer originally had committed to home-state Florida, but decommitted from the Gators back in September.

Rimmer is ranked No. 8 among 2013 prospects in the state of Florida. At 6-foot-9, 230 pounds Rimmer will provide Cardinal head coach Johnny Dawkins a skilled, big-bodied forward who can stretch the defense with excellent mid-range shooting touch. He can also area rebound and position defend.

Rimmer will join the Allen twins -- Marcus and Malcolm (Las Vegas/Centennial) -- in Stanford's 2013 class to date. Three-star prospect Marcus is a shooting guard and two-star recruit Malcolm runs the point.
