Northeast recruiting news & notes

Here’s a quick overview of some of the recent newsworthy basketball recruiting items in the Northeast.

• Stony Brook scored a verbal commitment from Phillips Exeter Academy (N.H.) 6-foot-4 senior swingman Chris Braley on Thursday night, adding a tough and hard-nosed swingman with a college-ready body who is also a good 3-point shooter capable of making shots in bunches.

• Fairleigh Dickinson head coach Greg Vetrone landed a 6-foot-4 shot maker of his own in Notre Dame Prep (Mass.) senior Donnele Munda. The Canadian native had committed to FDU earlier in the fall only to reopen his recruitment days later, but he is now solidly on board for next season.
