Sophomore center Cook makes choice

West Virginia head coach Bob Huggins received an early verbal commitment on Wednesday night from Class of 2015 4-star center Levi Cook (Glen Daniel, W.Va./Liberty), according to the Charleston (W.Va.) Gazette.

The 6-foot-10, 300 pounder was offered by the Mountaineers this summer and decided he did not want to wait any longer.

"West Virginia offered this past summer. And it's always been my dream to be a Mountaineer," he told the paper.

Cook averaged 18.6 points, 15.4 rebounds and 4.3 blocked shots as a freshman last year. He also held an offer from Marshall and was garnering early interest from Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Virginia Tech and Maryland.
