West Virginia lands Indy guard

Six-foot-3 combo guard Eron Harris gave West Virginia a verbal pledge on Sunday after his official visit to Morgantown, W.Va., this weekend.

Harris also was pursued heavily by Dayton but told the Charleston Gazette the Mountaineers "felt like the best fit for me. I felt a need for me in a sense."

Wisconsin had offered before the summer AAU circuit but decided to head in another direction. Loyola, Evansville, Georgia State, Ball State and Illinois State were also in the mix.

Harris joins ESPNU 100 power forward Elijah Macon in Bob Huggins' 2012 class.
