Dons add Arizona forward

Multiple sources are reporting on Monday that Tucson small forward Tim Derksen gave San Francisco a verbal commitment.

Derksen held recruiting interest from Boise State, San Diego, Northern Colorado and Weber State.

"Derksen is the perfect glue-type for the mid-major level," according to ESPN.com Recruiting Coordinator Joel Francisco. "He's an excellent all-around player with a very high basketball I.Q."

The 2-star prospect joins center Matt Christiansen (Oklahoma City, Okla.) and small forward Joe Edmonds (Oklahoma City, Okla.) in the Dons' 2012 class.
