Duquesne gets fourth pledge for 2012

The Baltimore Sun reported on Sunday that post-grad combo-guard Bryan Harris as verbally committed to Duquesne over offers from Appalachian State, Hofstra, Wofford and Quinnipiac.

The 6-foot-2 Harris did not have a single Division I scholarship coming out of high school last spring before enrolling at Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Va.

"It's a big step up form having DIII schools to now having [Atlantic 10] schools," he told the paper. "It's amazing."

Harris is the fourth incoming recruit for the Dukes, joining forward Donovon Jack (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic H.S.), guard Willie Moore (Cincinnati, Ohio/Aiken H.S.) and forward Shaheed Davis (Warren, Ohio/Harding H.S.).
