Jevon Thomas will not enroll at Dayton

Point guard Jevon Thomas (Quality Education Academy) will not suit up for Dayton next season, instead the Queens, N.Y. native will spend a fifth year at a prep school, the New York Post reported on Monday.

Thomas remains committed to Dayton and is expected to re-sign with the Flyers in November. He originally committed to St. John's as a junior before re-opening his recruitment last summer.

Head coach Archie Miller still has two signed prospects arriving in the fall, forwards Devon Scott (Columbus, Ohio/Northland) and Jalen Robinson (Columbus, Ohio/Northland).

UPDATE: According to the Dayton Daily News, the Flyers and Thomas have gone their separate ways and are no longer committed to each other. Miller confirmed the news.

"You can start saying he's going to prep school, and, well, are you still recruiting him? Will he be enrolling? No. He will not be attending the University of Dayton."
