Tim Miles announces big man signing

New Nebraska head coach Tim Miles officially announced the signing of Serbian forward Sergej Vucetic of AIM Prep (Northville, Mich.) on Wednesday.

The 7-footer committed to the Cornhuskers last week.

"Sergej is a great addition to our program," Miles said. "I like his competitiveness and that he has a purpose of waht he wants to accomplish here. I love his skill level, and he will continue to develop as he gains strength. I think he can be an excellent player for us at Nebraska."

Vucetic averaged 19.5 points and 12.0 rebounds at AIM Prep. He chose Nebraska over Providence, Marquette, SMU, Illinois and Vanderbilt and is the fourth recruit in Miles' first class in Lincoln, joining wing Shavon Shields (Olathe, Kans./Olathe Northwest), point guard Benny Parker (Kansas City, Kans./Sumner Academy) and point guard Deverell Biggs (Omaha, Neb./Seward County C.C.).
