Drake Harris commits to MSU for two sports

Junior-to-be shooting guard Drake Harris (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grand Rapids Christian) verbally committed to Michigan State on Wednesday with the hopes of playing football and basketball in East Lansing.

"I went up to Michigan State and they offered me for both football and basketball," he told WolverineNation's Tom VanHaaren. "That's what I want and I feel like it's the best place for me."

Harris is listed as an "athlete" on ESPN's RecruitingNation football page. He will be attending Michigan State on a football scholarship.

"I know it's hard, but I think I can do it. I'll put in the work and see what I can do," he said about playing both sports. "After the first two years I'll see where I'm at and go from there."

Harris held football offers from Michigan and Notre Dame.
