Small forward Stephen Domingo (San Francisco/St. Ignatius) has decided to skip his senior year of high school and will enroll early at Georgetown. Domingo's coach at St. Ignatius confirmed the news to www.sanfranpreps.com.
"From what I understand, he's going to Georgetown next year and playing for Georgetown next year," Tim Reardon said. "I don't know how that works, considering he didn't graduate from high school, but that's what his mother told our principal."
According to sources, Domingo has the necessary course credits to enroll at Georgetown.
The 6-foot-7 perimeter player committed to the Hoyas in May. Last weekend he helped the USA Basketball U17 national team capture the gold medal at the World Championships in Lithuania.
He will join shooting guard D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera (Indianapolis, Ind./Oak Hill Academy), power forward Brandon Bolden (Sumter, S.C./Quality Education Academy) and center Bradley Hayes (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood) as incoming freshmen at Georgetown.
