6-foot-6 wing forward Noah Allen(Salinas, Calif./Palma) gave a verbal commitment to Harvard on Monday, sources confirmed to ESPN.com.
Allen, a three-star prospect, chose the Crimson over San Diego State, Colorado, Utah, Yale, Brown, Penn and Washington State.
ESPN.com Recruiting Coordinator Joel Francisco has the goods on Allen.
"It's a terrific get for Harvard," Francisco said. "Tommy Amaker and his staff have done an amazing job of invading the west and snagging yet another high-level prospect in Allen. He had a great summer and the main reason was he was engaged. Last year he showed all the physical talent, but drifted in and out of games too much.
"This summer he scored and facilitated at a consistent clip."
He is the second recruit from 2013 for head coach Tommy Amaker and his staff, joining fellow Golden State native Zena Edosomwan (North Hollywood, Calif./Northfield-Mt. Hermon). The Crimson are also very much involved with the Allen twins (Marcus and Malcolm) from Las Vegas.
