ESPN 100 shooting guard Allerik Freeman (Charlotte, N.C./Findlay College Prep) put an end to his recruitment on Saturday with a verbal pledge to UCLA. Freeman announced his decision via his Twitter account.
"I'm officially a UCLA Bruin, thank you to all the people who supported me and especially my family! All love. Long way to go though," he tweeted.
The 6-foot-3 Freeman made his choice while on his official visit to the school's Westwood campus. He chose the Bruins over Ohio State, Villanova, Duke and Kansas.
Freeman joins point guard Zach LaVine (Bothell, Wash./Bothell) in head coach Ben Howland's 2013 class.
