The Allen's chose the Cardinal over offers from Rice, Santa Clara, Drake, Northern Arizona, Harvard and Colorado, among others. They visited Stanford on Friday.
"We considered every place we visited, and other places as well," Marcus told the paper. "We liked Stanford, but were open to other places. We are just stoked about the opportunity at Stanford. The trip helped open our eyes. The coaching staff was amazing, and getting to know the players was huge."
ESPN.com's west coast recruiting coordinator saw the twins take off this past summer.
"Marcus and Malcolm rose their stock as much as anybody on the west coast this past July," Joel Francisco said. "Marcus is a phenomenal athlete who can score in bunches and he'll be able to defend both guard positions. Malcolm can knock down 3-pointers and is athletic as well.
"Neither are true point guards, but they play hard and with a purpose."
They are the first recruits for head coach Johnny Dawkins in the 2013 class.
