No. 1 recruit Parker cuts list to five

Jabari Parker (Chicago/Simeon), the No. 1 recruit in the ESPN 100, told ESPN.com on Friday he has trimmed his list to five schools.

In no particular order, Stanford, BYU, Duke, Michigan State and Florida made the final five.

In July, Parker released a list of 10 schools he was considering that included BYU, DePaul, Duke, Florida, Georgetown, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan State, North Carolina and Stanford.

Parker is spending Midnight Madness next Friday with teammate Steve Taylor at Marquette, but Parker is not considering the Golden Eagles. He is simply going to support a teammate.

As for his injured foot, Parker said, "It is healing well. This has made me appreciate and love the game even more."
