Kent St. adds juco forward

New Kent State head coach Rob Senderoff landed his fourth commitment on Tuesday with a verbal pledge from junior college forward Darren Goodson.

The 6-foot-5 Goodson made his decision after a visit to Kent last week, according to the Record-Courier.

"That whole visit just felt right, like I already knew everybody on the team," he told the paper. "They've already given me a nickname, 'Big Homey,' and they all said I played a lot like (former Flashes forward ) Chris Singleton."

Senderoff also holds pledges from center Khaliq Spicer (Dearborn Heights, Mich.), power forward Chris Ortiz (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and point guard Kellon Thomas (Indianapolis, Ind.) in 2012.
