Texas guard commits to Sooners

Six-foot-4 shooting guard Je'lon Hornbeak ended his recruitment on Sunday after an official visit to Oklahoma, choosing the Sooners over Texas A&M, South Florida and Colorado, ESPN.com has confirmed.

ESPN.com Recruiting Coordinator Reggie Rankin commented on the commitment: "Je'lon is a very skilled wing with deep range and can make plays with the ball in his hands. He can stretch the defense with his shot-making ability.

"He'll be an immediate threat on the offensive end for the Sooners right away."

Hornbeak is the second recruit for new head coach Lon Kruger in 2012, joining fellow wing guard Buddy Hield (Sunrise Christian Academy).
