Multiple sources are reporting Sunday that 6-foot-9 power forward and San Antonio native Connor Lammert is off the board and committed to Texas.
"Connor gives Texas a solid face-up 4-man with upside that is a deceptive athlete that will be a perfect fit in Rick Barnes' system," said ESPN.com Recruiting Coordinator Mike LaPlante. "He has a great feel for the game and nice stroke out to the 3-point arc that will stretch the defense and open up driving lanes. This kid should have a great career in Austin."
Lammert chose the Longhorns over Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas A&M and Texas Christian, among others. He joins a Top 25 class that features ESPNU 100 recruits Cameron Ridley and Javan Felix.
