New Nebraska head coach Tim Miles announced the school has released two junior college players from the letter's of intent they signed in the fall, the Omaha World-Herald reported on Wednesday.
"With a new regime, those guys only have a two-year career left, and they want to make sure it's right," Miles said. "Other coaches have been watching them all year."
Miles also said that two other Husker signees, forward Shavon Shields (Olathe, Kan./Olathe Northwest H.S.) and guard Benny Parker (Kansas City, Kan./Sumner Academy), will honor their commitments and enroll this summer.
"Those two guys are rock solid and excited to be a part of Nebraska basketball, and I'm thrilled to have them," he noted.
The Huskers have one more junior college player signed, power forward Fahro Alihodzic (Bosnia/Southeastern Iowa C.C.), but his status remains unknown.
