UNLV announces Goodman signing

UNLV head coach Dave Rice announced Friday the signing of ESPN 100 small forward Savon Goodman (Philadelphia/Constitution H.S.) to a financial aid agreement.

The former Villanova commit chose the Runnin' Rebels over SMU, Missouri, Connecticut, Seton Hall, Pittsburgh and St. John's, among others.

"We are excited about Savon joining our program," Rice said. "He is a winner and brings great energy on every possession. He can guard multiple positions and will be explosive in our transition game. He has a tremendous work ethic and we look forward to his development over the next many seasons."

Goodman joins the 13th ranked class on ESPN's RecruitingNation and features ESPN 100 prospects Anthony Bennett (Brampton, Ont./Findlay Prep) and Katin Reinhardt (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./Mater Dei) along with forward Demetris Morant (Las Vegas/Bishop Gorman) and guard DaQuan Cook (Baltimore, Md./St. Frances). Rice will also welcome transfers Khem Birch (Pittsburgh), who will be eligible in December, Bryce Jones (USC), who is eligible immediately, and Roscoe Smith (Connecticut) who is appealing for a hardship waiver to be eligible immediately.
