Something good is cooking down in Boca Raton as Florida Atlantic coach Mike Jarvis has landed another impressive recruit.
The Owls receiver some national attention last week when they received a commitment from three-star PF Chris Bryant (Tallahassee, Fla./Fishburne Military School), now they are back in the news again with the acquisition of one of the more electrifying guys from the summer circuit in PG Stefan Moody (Kissimmee, Fla./Kissimmee-Poinciana).
Moody was an unheralded rising senior coming into the summer evaluation period until he made a name for himself out in Las Vegas playing for Team Breakdown.
Listed at 5-foot-11, Moody is also a phenomenal jumper with a hostile attitude when attacking the rim (he is already somewhat of a YouTube celebrity with his ability to finish with a dunk), but he is definitely not a one-trick pony, back off defensively and he can make you pay behind the 3-point arc.
Some of Jarvis' most successful teams have been led by an up-tempo style point who can pressure the ball and create off the dribble and Moody seems to be a perfect fit.
Recruiting is the lifeblood for every successful college program and FAU has definitely road the momentum from last season’s Sun Belt Conference regular-season championship to get off to a great start on the recruiting trail.
