D'Erryl Williams commits to Aztecs

San Diego State landed a verbal commitment from shooting guard D'Erryl Williams (Sacramento, Calif./Sheldon) on Saturday night, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Williams made his decision while on his official visit to the campus.

"He had a perception of how things would be here," his father, D'Erryl Williams Sr., told the paper. "The reality was better than the perception. It doesn't get any better that that. He said 'Dad, I don't need to visit anywhere else.'"

Williams chose the Aztecs over USC, Marquette, Fresno State, Loyola Marymount, San Diego and San Jose State. He joins his Sheldon High teammate Dakarai Allen who committed to San Diego State in September.
