RALEIGH, N.C. -- The North Carolina state championships were held at Reynolds Coliseum on Saturday, and there were several standout performers, including a monster performance from North Carolina-bound power forward Isaiah Hicks.
The best game of the day and the best performance of the state finals came from Hicks, who led Webb to the 4A state title with a 73-70 overtime win over Statesville and submitted one of the most outstanding performances in state championship game history. In the biggest game of his life he played his best game, recording 34 points, 30 rebounds and seven blocks. And if there was a category for changed and altered shots, he would have had another five to seven.
It was simply an amazing performance. So how did he do it?
