SG Carlton Hurst picks Colorado State

Class of 2013 shooting guard Carlton Hurst (Auroro, Colo./Aurora Central) verbally committed to Colorado State over the weekend. The news was announced by his AAU team, The Colorado Chaos Basketball Club.

"Hurst committed to the Rams for a variety of reasons," according to a press release from Chaos president David Matthews. "He visited the Fort Collins, Colorado campus multiple times in the last few months and felt very comfortable with the campus, city and proximity to his Aurora, Colorado home. He also felt a strong connection to new Colorado State head coach Larry Eustachy and his assistant coaches."

Hurst averaged 23.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 5.4 assists as a junior last season. He will join guard David Cohn (Elmhurst, Ill./York) and junior colleg forward Marcus Holt (Aurora, Colo./Paris J.C.) in Fort Collins in 2013.
