Ohio State gets Findlay guard

It took a while but Ohio State head coach Thad Matta finally landed a recruit for the incoming freshman class.

On Saturday, Italian guard Amedeo Della Valle (Findlay College Prep) committed to the Buckeyes over Arizona, Michigan, Texas A&M and Gonzaga. He announced his decision via his Twitter account.

Della Valle's commitment gives the Buckeyes depth following the transfer of current players Jordan Sibert and J.D. Weatherspoon, according to ESPN's Dave Telep.

"He's a guy who will be patient and find a way to use his smarts and skill," Telep said. He'll be a rotations guy for the Buckeyes."
