ESPN 100 graduating senior Montrezl Harrell (Tarboro, N.C./Hargrave Military Academy) put an end to his recruitment for a second time with a commitment to Louisville over the weekend. ESPN.com's Dave Telep confirmed the news on Monday morning.
Harrell made the decision following his weekend visit to the campus.
"This is a a big pledge on a number of fronts," Telep said. "Harrell fits the style of play and gives Pitino a run/jump forward with elite power and athleticism.
"He was one of the last guys on the board and the Cardinals got him to commit after only one visit."
Harrell originally signed with Virginia Tech but was granted a release following head coach Seth Greenberg's firing in April. Alabama, Kentucky, Cincinnati and Florida were other programs under consideration.
