Bartholomew is waiting for Penn State

No one could blame Miles Bartholomew if he's rooting for Tim Tebow this weekend.

After all, if Tebow can quarterback the Denver Broncos to a win against the New England Patriots, it could have a significant effect on Bartholomew's recruitment.

Bartholomew said Penn State coaches have told him that his highlight tape is one of the first that newly-hired head coach Bill O'Brien will watch. That could take some time if the New England advances in the NFL playoffs since O'Brien will continue on as the Pats' offensive coordinator before taking over full time at State College.

Bartholomew, a three-star offensive tackle from Athol Springs (N.Y.) Saint Francis, has recently been more prominent on Penn State's recruiting radar. Circumstances have opened the door for Bartholomew. The Nittany Lions don't have a true offensive tackle committed and last fall's highly-publicized scandal and subsequent coaching change has limited Penn State's options for the 2012 class.

Bartholomew already has scholarship offers from Penn, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, Maine, Albany and Akron, but he's willing to wait on the Nittany Lions.
