Four-star Rippy now down to three

Four-star outside linebacker Deaysean Rippy (McKees Rocks, Pa./Sto-Rox) is now down to three schools after one program pulled out of the race, Rippy writes on his Twitter.

"It's down to UofA [Arizona] Pitt Wvu were Do I go three good schools," Rippy wrote on his account @d_ripp11.

Colorado, where his cousin Doug Rippy plays, no longer has a scholarship for him, Deaysean Rippy wrote.

"Yeah CU a great place but there coach gave my scholarship away I won't go into detail but when you hear later down line your going to say that was stupid," Rippy wrote.

Rippy will sit down with those closest to him at dinner Friday night to discuss his final three. Rippy's family and retired Sto-Rox athletic director and teacher Bill Palermo will meet with him, current Sto-Rox AD Bill Minear said.

An announcement will come on signing day.

Rippy has played his recruitment close to the vest since he and Florida split ways in the summer. He put off his recruitment until after his senior season for the most part.

He has taken four official visits -- all to his original finalists: Colorado (Dec. 2), Pitt (Dec. 9), West Virginia (Dec. 16) and Arizona (Jan. 13).
