Dorian O'Daniel has picked up another trio of scholarship offers.
Clemson, Auburn and South Carolina are the schools that have most recently jumped into the fray to try to land the ESPN Watch List linebacker prospect from Olney (Md.) Good Counsel. However, O'Daniel currently has his eye on the Big Ten.
“I'm working on some visits now to Ohio State and Michigan,” said O'Daniel, who primarily played tailback until he switched to defense last season.
O'Daniel said last fall that Virginia Tech had caught his fancy. The Hokies offered recently but appear to have slipped a bit from the top of the list.
“As of right now, Michigan, Florida, Ohio State and Clemson are all schools I have offers from that are standing out,” O'Daniel said.
When asked what he is looking for in a school, O'Daniel said. “First and foremost a strong academic base, then a homey environment, because I want to feel like I'm at home at the school I plan to spend four years at, then a solid coaching staff."
O'Daniel has roughly 20 scholarship offers. He said he believes Alabama and Southern California are close to offering him a scholarship as well.
