Four-star Dorian Miller (Metuchen, N.J./Metuchen) said Rutgers is setting the bar for him in his recruitment. Early this morning was just another example of why.
Aug. 1 is the first day colleges can send written offers to seniors. While they often arrive in the mail a few days later, Rutgers made sure Miller, the No. 13 recruit in New Jersey, received his right away.
Jeremy Miller, Dorian's father, said the family received the written offer from Rutgers shortly after midnight on Aug. 1.
Rutgers and Tennessee are two teams standing out to Johnson, though he remains open. A decision will not come until after the season at the earliest most likely.
Jeremy Miller also said one program the family was high on at one point has since dropped after talking with its coaching staff recently, but declined to say which school.
