Gilman stars tripping to Ohio State

Gilman School's prospects are thinking Ohio State.

The Baltimore school is sending two highly-rated prospects, Cyrus Jones and Henry Poggi, to Columbus, Ohio, this weekend to check out the Buckeyes under newly hired head coach Urban Meyer.

Poggi is a junior that already is garnering attention on the ESPNU Watch List. He is slated to play defensive tackle in college but could also be considered as a tight end. He said he was primarily considering Stanford, Michigan, Alabama, Tennessee and Auburn among his long list of scholarship offers.

Jones is a four-star athlete prospect who is considered the No. 33 best overall recruit in the nation. He has taken official visits to Virginia Tech, Alabama and Auburn. Jones' official visit to Ohio State could be his last, as he has said he'll announce his college decision in December. However, Meyer's presence in his recruitment could have changed Jones' timetable.

Ohio State wasn't considered a player for either prospect until Meyer was hired last month.
