Ryan Switzer isn't fazed by a sudden flurry of scholarship offers.
The standout athlete prospect from Charleston (W.Va.) George Washington maintained he's still committed to North Carolina despite recent offers from Cincinnati, Boston College and Stanford.
“No I'm still solid,” Switzer stated via text message to ESPN. “Just thought it was funny.”
Perhaps the only thing that could sway Switzer is the future of his teammate and good friend, linebacker Dustin Crouser, who has scholarship offers from Wake Forest and UNC-Charlotte but has yet to draw the same interest Switzer did before committing to the Tar Heels in March.
The two have said they'd like to play football together, but even so Switzer seems firm on his commitment to North Carolina. He has said repeatedly that he considers the area a second home because he has so much family living there.
Crouser recently visited Ohio and is planning trips to Virginia, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and North Carolina.
