Kameron Miles discusses OU junior day

Rising athlete Kameron Miles (Mesquite, Texas/West Mesquite) left Saturday’s Oklahoma junior day with positive comments. Thursday afternoon, he almost decided not to go.

Miles, who had planned on attending the Sooners’ junior day, received an invite from LSU for its junior day on Thursday. He thought about making the trip to Baton Rouge, La., but chose to stick with his original plans and make the drive to Norman, Okla.

“It was good. When I got there, I wasn’t expecting it to be the way it was,” Miles said. I was thinking that there’s nothing to do in Oklahoma and that it probably was going to be boring. When I got there, it was the exact opposite.”

Miles said he enjoyed the facilities and also has a respect for Oklahoma’s winning tradition. He also complimented the coaching staff and its positive attitude. While Miles didn’t receive an offer, he said that defensive coordinator Mike Stoops is planning on watching him during upcoming spring workouts.

Miles, who at 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds most likely will play in the secondary in college, next will visit Texas A&M and Texas for junior days scheduled on Feb. 18 and 25, respectively.
